My best friend has been living away for so long that I had to visit her all the way across the globe in Australia.
We had to take a mandatory break on our catching up and bar hopping in Melbourne to find a quilt store where I could get Aboriginal fabric.
After wandering around the streets and a couple of calls we finally found the lovely store. Even though fabrics were quite expensive I got a few samples. My friend even picked one so I could make her a bag once I got back to Brazil.
Although I didn’t have much time to sew once my vacation was over I kept my promise! The bag even got to Australia in time for my friend’s birthday.

Colocamos o papo em dia e ela foi me apresentando Melbourne de bar em bar, mas tivemos que fazer uma pausa obrigatória para encontrar uma loja quilt onde eu pudesse comprar tecidos aborígenes.
Alguns trams e ligações depois finalmente encontramos a linda loja. Mesmo que os tecidos fossem um tanto caros eu trouxe algumas amostras. Até minha amiga escolheu um para que eu pudesse fazer uma bolsa para ela quando eu voltasse para o Brasil.
Embora eu não tivesse muito tempo para costurar depois que minhas férias acabaram, eu mantive minha promessa! A bolsa ainda chegou na Austrália a tempo para o aniversário da minha melhor amiga.
